So Sunday evening, Jade had to go back to hospital since she had a fever of 101 and wanted to make sure it wasn’t an infection in her uterus (her delivery doctor told her to keep a close watch for a fever since forceps can cause infections in her uterus). Several of her friends had it before but we had no idea it was mastitis because she said her breasts didn’t hurt that much.
She is a bit sad to have to feed Colgin formula for another week due to the antibiotic she is now taking. When Colgin had jaundice, we had to partially supplement with formula also. She was hoping to feed him 100% breastmilk but we are slowly learning that things never really go as planned and we better get used to that.
I think we know Texas Women's Hospital and its staff inside and out now. We pray this is the last of the hospital visits...for a while at least.
