Jaundice Baby

Colgin has Jaundice and it's preventing him from going home. Factors that are causing it to be more serious than the typical cases (since most of you know that jaundice is common among those of Asian decent - Jade and I had it when we were newborn) is due to the bruising on his head when he was forceped out and also his lower birth weight is causing recovery to be slower. He is now "tanning" w/ his shades on (undergoing phototherapy). Colgin has been in the hospital since Friday night, so his total day count is up to 7 days. The wait wasn't that bad before Jade was discharged from the hospital, but now it really sucks when you are migrating waiting room to waiting room (especially since Jade is trying to recover). We come to the hospital from 5am-8pm everyday so that Jade can continue feeding him every 3 hours. It's our only time to hold the baby and even though breastfeeding is very painful for her now, Jade gets so excited each time she is about to hold him again.
